About the event

The emotional toll of law enforcement work can be significant, with officers frequently exposed to stressful and traumatic situations that can take a toll on their mental health and well-being. This four-hour training program on emotional survival and resiliency is designed to equip law enforcement officers with the skills and tools they need to manage the psychological demands of their job and to build resilience to cope with the challenges they face.

The course will be delivered by experienced mental health and law enforcement professionals. It will cover a range of topics, including the impact of trauma on the brain, the signs and symptoms of stress and burnout, and practical strategies for managing and reducing stress. Participants will learn techniques for regulating their emotions and managing their reactions to stressors, including mindfulness, breathing exercises, and other relaxation techniques.
