Virtual CIT Dispatcher Training

This virtual training course spans over two consecutive days, with each session lasting four hours, totaling eight hours of instruction. The purpose of this course is to equip 911 call-takers with the necessary skills to recognize potential mental health-related calls, employ techniques to de-escalate callers' emotions, and effectively prioritize the appropriate response, whether it involves dispatching relevant services or facilitating a seamless transition to crisis services. Additionally, the training will cover the essential information that should be gathered and communicated to CIT patrol officers when dispatching them in such situations. The course incorporates realistic scenarios inspired by actual mental health-related calls, allowing participants to practice their skills and engage in meaningful discussions.
